As EVs begin to become a larger part of the vehicle market, the city of Grand Marais is making changes to become more “EV Ready”. Charging stations will be installed in the downtown area, and the city is undergoing a study to determine if EVs will be suitable for the fleet in the future.

A recent study done by the Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment has found that cold climate air source heat pumps can provide significant energy savings for home and business owners who heat with propane.
