Recreation Area Master Plan update
Introduction
This master plan describes the master planning process, existing conditions, and future plans for the Grand Marais Recreation Area, also known as the “Rec Park.” This chapter describes the site’s location and current role within the region, the existing conditions of the recreation area, as well as the site’s history and the role in the community.
Project Process and Schedule
The planning process began in April 2023 and included several meetings with the Grand Marais Park Board to discuss ideas for the park and review engagement and input results.
